Have you ever wondered how we make such amazing beeswax food wraps? It’s with our secret recipe. This beeswax block bar is your answer to making beeswax food wraps the same as we do, but in the comfort of your own home.
All you need is your old wraps (or you can make new ones with fabric you have chosen!), baking paper, a grater, and an old baking tray.
It’s our special recipe containing Australian Bees Wax, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil and Tree Resin, blended for you into a beeswax block that makes it easy to create your own food safe wraps.
The oils give your wraps more flexibility and the resin the stickiness so they can stick around your bowls to make them nice and air tight.

When Should I Order a Beeswax Block?
Knowing when it’s time to refresh or replace your beeswax wrap depends on several factors:
Loss of Stickiness: Over time and with use, the beeswax coating may lose its stickiness, making it less effective at adhering to surfaces and forming a seal around containers.
Visible Wear and Tear: If you notice significant creasing, cracking, or thinning of the beeswax coating, it may be time to consider refreshing or replacing the wrap with our beeswax block to ensure optimal performance.
Reduced Wrapping Ability: As beeswax wraps age, they may become less pliable and more difficult to mould around items, compromising their ability to effectively cover and seal food.
Odours or Stains: Persistent odours or stains that do not disappear after cleaning may indicate that the beeswax wrap is reaching the end of its lifespan and no longer effectively preserving food.
Excessive Wear: If you use your beeswax wraps frequently and notice signs of wear such as fraying edges or thinning areas, it may be beneficial to refresh or replace them with a beeswax block to maintain hygiene and effectiveness.
Refreshing beeswax wraps typically involves reapplying a thin layer of melted beeswax mixture (beeswax, jojoba oil, and resin) and melting it onto the fabric to restore its stickiness and functionality. This process can extend the lifespan of your wraps and keep them working effectively for longer periods. We have done the hard work for you by combining all of the essential ingredients into our beeswax block!
